Therapy Fees

Here at Lakeview Psychology, we accept referrals via your General Practitioner (GP) or self-referral. A referral is not required to access our services; however, it is a requirement if you wish to obtain a Medicare rebate.

Medicare rebates are provided under the Better Access to Mental Health Care Initiative where you can claim a Medicare rebate for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. To obtain this rebate, you will require a referral from your General Practitioner (GP) or a Psychiatrist. For more information please refer to the APS website. 

Our fees are $200 per 60-minute session. Under a Mental Health Care Plan, the Medicare rebate available for each consultation is $96.65, leaving a gap payment of $103.35 for clients.

Payments

Lakeview Psychology uses the Practice Manager Software, Halaxy. This software manages all client bookings, client records, billing and manages payments. As a condition of engagement, we require all clients to register for payment via Halaxy Automatic Payments at the time of booking.

Halaxy Automatic Payments provides a convenient direct debit from your nominated account or credit card on the day of your appointment. For more information on this service, including privacy and data protection, please see the following link.

Please note we are unable to accommodate other payment methods at this time.

Cancellation Fees

Since the scheduling of an appointment involves a reservation of time specifically for you, a minimum of 24 hours is required for rescheduling or cancelling an appointment. Late cancellation or failure to attend with less than 24 hours notice will attract the full fee. Please also note, cancellation fees cannot be claimed through Medicare or your health fund. 

Assessment Fees

The total cost of an assessment is $1200, payable via bank transfer. Please speak to us about payment plan options.
